What The Reef Knows
Why we donate 3% of every sale to coral restoration — and why that's nowhere near enough.

If you've been diving for more than a decade, you've watched a reef die. You may not have realised it at the time. You went back to the same site three years apart, and something was off — the colors paler, the fish fewer, the silence louder. That's what dying looks like underwater. It's quiet.
Half the world's coral is gone since 1950. Most of what remains is bleached, stressed, or both. The science is clear and it is not new.
We donate 3% of every Shio no Wa sale to Coral Vita and the Marine Conservation Society. We are honest with you that 3% is a starting point, not an endpoint. As we grow, that number grows.
But the truth is no jewelry brand will save the ocean. The ocean will be saved — if it is saved — by policy, by pressure, by a generation that refuses to inherit a dead sea. We make small objects to fund small actions. The bigger work belongs to all of us.
